Crafting The Past

Tinsmithing Workshop Fabrication Crafts

In our research we found that at the original 24 Coney Street a Thomas Stodhart and family Tinsmiths and Braziers lived and worked from 1790. Both are now endangered redlist craft skills.

Our tutor will show you the basics to make a simple tin box. Using hammer work to shape the piece and gain simple metalworking skills,  polishing and finishing

This workshop has been funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and is free. Places are limited, and a £10 deposit is required to book, refundable on attendance.

The class is run at our Fabrication2 workspace by Andrew Clark of Military Metalwork
